Life Cycle perennial
General Description A perennial with broad oval leaves forming a rosette.
Seedlings Cotyledons are spatulate with three large veins. Young leaves are oval to elliptic and may show three to five prominent veins. Large petioles curve around the center of the rosette.
True Leaves and Stem Leaves are ovate to elliptical with large petioles. Veins are very prominent on the leaves. Leaf surface is waxy with a few hairs. Blade margins get wavy with age.
Roots Small taproot with fiberous roots also.
Flower and Fruit White flowers are produced on long leafless stalks. Fruits are small, brown capsules containing up to 30 seeds.
